Forum 2015, which is the successor to the Global Forum for Health Research, is a unique global platform to promote the role of research and innovation in creating better health, enhancing equity and stimulating development.
The overall theme of Forum 2015 is ‘People at the centre of research and innovation for health’. Its six sub-themes are divided into three system-focused and three issue-focused areas:
§ social accountability [of research and innovation for health]
§ increasing investments [in research and innovation for health]
§ country-driven capacity building [for research and innovation for health]
§ [research and innovation for] food security and safety
§ [research and innovation needed to guarantee] health in mega-cities
§ [research and innovation to promote] disaster preparedness and risk reduction
Forum 2015 offers a platform for Regional Health Research and Development Consortia to participate and influence the global health research and innovation agenda, showcase home-grown solutions and form new strategic partnerships.
