The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) will be hosting the 8th Asian Heads of Research Councils (ASIAHORCs) Joint Symposium on 22-23 September 2016 in Manila, Philippines.
The theme of the Symposium is "Impact of Changing Regional Environment on Global Health" with the following sub-themes:
- Health Resilience to Climate Change
- Health in Disaster Risk Management
- Vector borne diseases and climate change
- Environmental stressors in disease and implications on human health
- Promoting health while mitigating climate change
The symposium aims to foster linkage among young researchers in advance science and technology within the region and works to strengthen the network among Asian countries by exchanging information through presentations and discussion of issues on the aforementioned field of research.
The call is open to young researchers whose major field is health sciences, preferably graduate students, PhD degree holders, or post doctoral fellows who are under 35 years of age as of September 22, 2016.

1. Duly accomplished registration form
2. Endorsement letter from the head of agency
3. Updated curriculum vitae
4. Certificate of employment
5. Copy of Transcript of Records
6. Abstract of Presentation Paper
