CEBU CITY- All Regional Health Research and Development Consortia (RHRDC) attended the Regional Consultation on the Standardization of Training Modules Used in Basic Research Methods Courses commissioned by DOST-PCHRD led by Dr. Ophelia M. Mendoza in collaboration with Symmetrix Research Consultancy Co. from September 4- 5, 2018 at the Golden Prince Hotel and Suites, Cebu City.
The objectives of the module were a). To conduct an inventory of training modules and designs currently used by RHRDCs in conducting the Basic Research Methods Course for its members; b.) To hold a Regional Consultative Workshop with the RHRDCs; c.)To develop the standardized module of Basic Research Methods (BRM) and the accompanying Teacher's Guide on the Use of the BRM Module, using as inputs the results of the inventory and the Regional Consultation conducted among RHRDCs; and d.)To test and finalize the standardized module by using them as training materials in an actual conduct of a Basic Research Methods Training and a Training of Trainers.
The outputs of the workshop will serve as a basis for the improvement of the standardized module of Basic Research Methods for the various RHRDC.
Meanwhile, the Cagayan Valley health Research Development Consortium (CVHRDC) was represented by Ms. Miriam D. Macutay- CVHRDC Capacity Building Committee Chair, Dr. Melfei E. Buhingan- CVHRDC Research Management Committee Chair, and Ms. Clyde Beth B. Caraang- CVHRDC Project Staff.
