In 2023, the DOST-PCHRD launched the HeaRT for the Filipino, an integrated marketing communications campaign which highlighted the role and contributions of health research and technology in making lives better for the Filipino people.

This year the DOST-PCHRD will relaunch the “Capture the Heart in Health Research Photo Contest II,” a photo contest which will engage researchers who worked on or are currently working on PCHRD-supported research projects. Also, as a way to reach the general public, the team also aims to set a category that is open to everyone. The entries for the photo contest will be published on the Council’s official social media pages: Facebook and Twitter, as a way to increase awareness among the general public on health research initiatives.

At the end of the contest, individuals per category will be awarded and given a cash prize amounting to P10,000, P5,000, and P3,000. Special awards with a cash prize of P1,500 pesos will also be awarded as follows: People’s Choice and DOST-PCHRD Executive Director’s Choice.
