Hosted by the University of the Philippines-Manila (UP Manila), the Cagayan Valley Health Research and Development Consortium (CVHRDC) actively participated in the Consultative Meeting on Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation in Health Research Agenda 2023-2028 on February 21, 2023, at the Travelite Hotel Legarda in Baguio, Benguet.
Through constructive discussions, knowledge sharing, and consensus-building among participants, the meeting served as a strategic platform for health research stakeholders to converge on formulating a comprehensive research agenda aimed at mitigating the adverse impacts of disasters and climate change on public health.
The Department of Science and Technology 02 and the Department of Health 02, together with the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of the City of Ilagan, represented the Cagayan Valley region in the consultative meeting.
Moreover, the meeting is instrumental in providing regional perspectives and insights crucial for crafting an effective research agenda tailored to the unique challenges and needs of Cagayan Valley and neighboring areas.
The CVHRDC remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting and contributing to such initiatives, recognizing the significance of collaborative research and collective action in addressing complex health challenges in the region.
