The Cagayan Valley Health Research and Development Consortium (CVHRDC) actively participated in the Day 1 Pre-Conference of the 16th Philippine National Health Research System (PNHRS) Week Celebration at the Summit Hotel, Tacloban City. This 4-day activity with the theme "Sustainable Development: Resilience through Health Research," reflects the collective commitment of health professionals, researchers, and stakeholders to fostering robust healthcare practices.
The highlights were:
1. Dynamic Motorcade: CVHRDC delegates actively participated, drawing attention to the role of health research in creating sustainable and resilient health systems.
2. PNHRS Capacity Building Committee Meeting: This closed-door meeting highlighted the importance of the role of the regional CBC to effectively identify the needs of the health researchers in their respective regions participated by Dr. Ma. Angelita S. Rabanal, Chair of CVHRDC-CBC and 2 CVHRDC Secretariat.
3. Practical Training of Research Ethics Training: Dr. Jason Arnold Maslang and Flordersierra E. Salamanca from Saint Mary’s University, a CVHRDC member institution, participated in the said training.
4. Final Mentoring of CVHRDC contestants: Headed by the Executive Director Dr. Julius T. Capili, the team coached the finalists from the region for the different competitions.
