Day 2| August 9, 2023
The consortium's regional finalist participated in two PNHRS Competitions namely Research Poster Presentation – Student Category and 3 Minute Pitch to Policymaker while other delegates partook in simultaneous plenary sessions and meetings.
The highlights were:
1. Cerene T. Quilang's Research Poster Presentation: A finalist and a graduate of the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao City BS in Pharmacy confidently presented her research poster through a closed door to the 3 esteemed board of judges.
2. Jolo R. Galabay's 3-Minute Pitch: Another finalist from Isabela State University-Ilagan Campus, took the stage for the 3- 3-Minute Pitch to Policy Makers segment. This segment highlighted the significance of conveying complex research findings concisely and effectively to policymakers.
3. Appreciation Meeting: PCHRD Executive Director, Dr. Jaime C. Montoya, calls for a meeting to thank and meet all the Regional Project Staff and Coordinators as the backbone of health R&D in respective regions. This was also an avenue to raise concerns of each region.
4. Participation in an educational forum/ResMob Meeting: Other delegates from the consortium interacted with the Benefits and Challenges of AI (e.g chatbots) in Medical Publishing hosted by the Philippine Association of Medical Journal Editors (PAMJE). Furthermore, Engr. Mark Gil S. Hizon represented Region 2 in the Resource Mobilization Meeting.
